about

peace corps senegal/environmental health educator

I am a recent graduate of the George Washington University with a degree in International Development, and I will be spending the next two years as a Preventive Health and Environmental Education Volunteer in Peace Corps Senegal, mostly focusing on the environmental side of things.  I live in a quaint little village of about 800 called Tanda Mboudaye in the region of Kaolack, quasi-close to the Gambian border. I work with school children, the health post and women's groups to promote preventative health measures, environmental sustainability, and increased nutrition. When otherwise occupied I may be traveling about the country, painting my nails outrageous colors, or tending to my garden.
